Cannot Revert to Stock Firmware

Hello,

I have a RT-AC68U which I put Merlin onto, but have decided that I'd like to go back to ASUS firmware, and I can't remove or revert from Merlin.

I've tried installing firmware from ASUS and performing a factory reset and various combinations thereof with no success. I'm stuck on Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.38_2 after every attempt.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

download the firmare restore utility from asus, hold the reset button until the router power button flashes. connect to the router via ethernet and then run the restore utility to put on the asus firmware. you can then either navigate to the admin page and select to restore factory defaults or ssh into the router and do an nvram erase. manually configure your settings after that.

His problem come the Bootloader CFE still on old version 1.0.1.6.There is no need for Utility restore here .He just need to flash with a firmware that will do the upgrade to the new CFE version
1.0.2.X thats all

Know issue

flash with 378.55 or 376.3626(asus)

reboot
flash with latest Asus and "IMPORTANT" ... Factory to reset default and reconfig from scratch

I went back to 376.3626 after I could not install the latest from Asus..
