Cant flash Merlin AC68U

Hello,


i have buy a AC68U and i can no flash Merlin to the Router.

The Message it will come is:

Firmware upgrade unsuccessful. This may result from incorrect image or error transmission. Please check the version of firmware and try again.


I have reset and a 30-30-30 reset.

I can flash the original ASUS FW but not Merlin FW.

DSL Firmware Version 1.0.3.2
DSL Driver Version FwVer:5.5.1.135_A_A60901 HwVer:T14.F7_0.2


I have download multiple RT-AC68U_380.57_0.trx with chrome, safari, firefox and check hash. Its okay.

What can i do?

Your DSL version of ASUS routers is not supported.

Are you trying to install the newest version, 380.57? There have been some problems with it, and to avoid that, I'd suggest you try to install 378.55 or 378.56_2, firstly to avoid the problems of the new version, and, secondly, to see if the problem extends beyond the version you tried.

I don't think it applies to you, because your firmware appears to be fairly up to date, but I was reminded of this posting:

Nevertheless, worth a read and storing in the dark corners of one's memory (as are most of this forum's postings).

EDIT: thanks Martineau. In my subconscious, when I saw DSL, something didn't sound right, but it never made its way to the conscious (or in my case, semi-conscious) part of the brain.

I did not even know that there is a version with and without modem.

Can i deactive the dsl and flash then Merlin?
