Capture web interface commands

Wondering if it's possible to somehow capture the actual commands sent to the router from the web interface? I'm trying and failing miserably creating vlans with working guest wireless. I just went to tomato to try and see if I could figure out the commands of a working set up I want to use with Merlin.

Not easy because both Tomato and Asuswrt have heavily customised http daemon - with c-functions that do the work - but you should be able to read the source-code for each!
