Client Status confused with similar names

Looks like the Client Status list gets confused when there are similar hostnames. Here's a couple of screen shots to illustrate the problem. I use a '-' in the name to indicated wired connection.....a '_' to indicate wireless.

Bad resolution...:D
Interesting. What happens if you refresh?

Starts out with the correct names, but both entries with the same IPs.....then as it continues to refresh, the names become identical.

What does ping return if you
ping NP-whatever
and
ping NP_whatever ?

Actually, only the '-' is active. It's a Roku.....only 1 interface is active at a time, and I had switched it from wired to wireless and back to wired (this fixes a Roku problem for me). So the '_' wireless lease is an old lease.

But, the interesting thing is I can't ping the active wired '-' interface....could not find host.....

Just to close this out.....I think I figured out what is happening. It seems as if this is how the firmware handles the case where there are two interfaces/leases to a client that returns the hostname during DHCP, creating a hostname conflict. It looks like it wipes out the status of the older of the two leases with the info from the latest.

So, if you see this, I believe it means you have (or had) more that one connection to a client.
