Client Status problem

Hello all,

I have two TM-AC1900 converted to AC68 running Merlin 376.47. One of the routers is running as wireless router and the other as a repeater. The problem is when I go to the client status page, some names match MAC id and some don't and some don't even show.

This is my first time running a router a repeater, I don't if my problem is firmware related or hardware related.

I'm guessing that the ones that connects to the repeater might not show but the names/mac mismatch makes parent control a little difficult.

TIA for any help you guys can offer.

Clients connecting to the repeater will not be seen by their MACs by the main router but by the repater's own MAC. This is a technical limitation due to the way repeaters work.

I turned off the repeater and I was able to set some parent controls.

Is there is another firmware version you recommend for this router? I've been experiencing 500-900ms spikes while playing bf4. Today I cleared the nvram set the router up, it work fine for like 2 hours and now is back to the erratic spikes.

TIA!

If your issues are wireless-related then read the sticky in the Asus Wireless sub-forums where I already posted all the usual things to look for when dealing with wireless issues.

Yeah I did check everything, I downgraded to 374.43_2-04j9527 (Merlin fork) and the lag disappeared. The only thing that change was the link rate from 800-1300 to 100-200, I'm not sure if the link rate reading is accurate, but is working without lag. :D
