Concurrent admin log-ins

I know the question about multiple concurrent admin log-ins has come up in the past. At the time, one of the key reasons for not supporting is was the concern that multiple concurrent admin connections could wreak havoc on the configuration. Part of the argument (and rightfully so) was that since ASUS didn't support it there was probably a good reason for that.

However, ASUS now offers applications for Android and iOS that allow admins to make changes from a mobile device while another admin connection is active in a browser.

I have not examined the traffic from the mobile devices yet so I have no idea how ASUS is connecting to the router and how they are handling it, but it does seem to establish that multiple concurrent admin connections are (now?) supported.

Only if your using the app. I tried this the other day. I can log in on my PC to the router and via the app on my phone. But as soon as I try to log in via the browser on my phone it says to need to log out my PC first.

I'm not sure this would still be safe, even if Asus allows it. They might have put more safeguards in place to avoid conflicting changes, but I doubt it - if they did, it's specific to the app, which uses a slightly different API.

Evan though there are two ways to log in the browser will log itself out when you login using the mobile app. It will not hold multiple concurrent connections open. It will always close one of the connections or not let you login at all.
