Conditional port forwarding or the ability to turn specific port forwards on/off?

Is it possible to make a conditional port forward? My usage scenario would be something like if an incoming connection is made on port 4444 then port 5555 would port forward for an amount of time.

Or is it possible to turn off specific port forwards and turn them back on (other than erasing/recreating them in the GUI)?

I use wake on lan to wake two laptops I have at home when I am away from home (by connecting to vpn and then sending the wol). I have ports open on each of them (all different) for wol and remote desktop. It would be cool if the remote desktop ports would open only after an incoming wol signal.

I was thinking this type of feature might be useful and could be more secure (similar to how port triggering is "more secure") but know that with my limited knowledge this might not really be much more secure at all. What say you?

I thought about doing something similar to this for a while, but in the end it would have been too much hassle to set up and use.

It's a lot easier (and more secure) IMHO to connect to the built-in VPN server. That way you don't have to worry about port forwarding.

What you describe is essentially port knocking, with an expiration.

This could be done through scripting, but it will take some work, and this is definitely something I wouldn't integrate into the firmware as it is very specialized.

Check the Wiki, there are already examples on how to configure port knocking. You would have to also integrate a delay in your script so it would remove the added firewall rule after a given amount of time.
