New Around Here
Hello,
I own RT68U with 380.69. I am planning to update to 382.2 when that becomes stables. As 382 is a completely new code base I have a question: will my configuration be migrated when I just update 380.69 --> 382.2(x)? Or resetting to factory defaults is highly recommended or a must after migrating?
I am asking is it "highly recommended", as I understand it is fine to do it from time to time. I am curious if 380 vs 382 differences makes it a must?

Considering it's new code, I'd completely recommend copying down any settings by hand, reset to factory default to wipe out your existing setup, and then upgrading to the 68U version of 382.2. After that is good, put your config back by hand.

Highly recommended for that model. At the very least OpenVPN, SSH and HTTPS configurations might need to be redone.
