New Around Here
;o I need to extend a cable so was thinking of buying a
ICIDU UTP CAT5e Coupler RJ45 F - RJ45 F Extend. N37

The cable that runs true a lot of walls is cat5e but needs to be extended now one room further. I still have a CAT5 cable that would do the trick but would it work on the coupler with one side CAT5e and the other CAT5. If not guess will buy me a CAT5e one.

Did you find something that you went for eventually? I need one as well.

5 vs 5e is only a concern if you're running Gigabit Ethernet.
If most of the run is 5e, you should be fine for supporting a Gigabit
connection with a shore CAT5 cable and even CAT5 coupler.

But if you want to be safe, use CAT5e for both cable and coupler.
