CPU at 100%

One of the CPUs got stuck at 100% apparently running 'sw_devled'. The GUI remained responsive and the router was still handling traffic but attempts to reboot (clicking the 'reboot' button in GUI) were futile, had to power it off and on. Running v384.5 on AC3100. Any thoughts? Thanks.

try power cycle and clear nvram, it should help solve the weird high cpu load issue.
this will require you to reconfigure everything

power off 30 sec, hold wps button while powering on, wait till power led start blinking/flashing then release it.
wait till the router is properly rebooted and it should solve the issue.

and make sure you dont have usb drive attach to it.

the glitch happens sometimes when upgrading/switching firmware between different code base / stock and merlin.

and doing it solve the issue for me.

Another reason all these home routers have shirtty code and the vendors laugh and don't even care. 99% of the time i stick with stock code and rarely have issues.
