Hello!
I have two routers: RT-AC66 and RT-AC87. I have SSD attached on USB3.0 of 87 and i use it for synchronizing "my documents" between two computers (i use third party software for this). What i would like is to attach a second HDD on port USB2.0 and use some kind of script to automatically copy contents on second HDD, say, once a day. Is there any way to do this without any PC interaction? I mean some kind of script, saved on JFFS partition?

I looked there, but only thing i can find there is sync to a remote location through iCloud, which is not what i want. Now i've read in more detail, and now i'm not sure... is it true that destination can be local, not remote? If this is so, then this is it...

I linked to the wiki because you asked whether it was possible to run scripts automatically from the jffs partition. The wiki shows you how to do that. There are plenty of examples for scheduling user scripts. :)

Well, maybe i was somewhat unclear... of course i want to run it automatically, but it was not the main question.
Nevertheless, i'll try that remote sync thing - maybe it will work...

Not tested but something like this should work:

- install entware (see wiki)
- install rsync (opkg install rsync)
- use some command like "rsync -va @sourceDir @targetDir" - I think both dirs can be remote

Yes, i aleady tried to play with this, but so far i get some errors from rsync. So far it seems that i can't exactly enter proper path to a second router disc. if i enter (as destination)

admin@192.168.1.100:/mnt/rt-ac66u/sync (local IP of second router)

i ger error string too long. if i delete IP address i get folder not found. How can i tell to rsync that i want to write to a second HDD and not to first?
