crond crashing

I have been getting my system set up with all the tweaks I like, but have found I have somehow done something that stopped crond from running.

I see in the log that it is started and given PID #320. I do not see anything in the log about it stopping. But when I do a ps it does not show up. And it is not running it's nightly reboot script.

Any ideas? This one has me baffled....

Here is some more info on this problem. Crond does run at first, as I can see from a ps when I quickly SSH into my router after boot. But within 1-5 minutes after rebooting, crond goes away with no log or error details. Very odd.

Here is my syslog, starting with when crond is initialized. As you can see, there is no evidence of crond stopping, but it does.

Well, I have tried re-launching crond from SSH, and it stays up for minutes to hours, but does eventually crash. Nothing gets written to the syslog when it crashes, so I cannot really tell when/why it crashes.

Anyone else having trouble keeping crond running on the latest firmware on RT-N16?
