Cronjob for Keep Alive (Restart the Router at a Specific Time) and HW Acceleration?

Hi,

I always try to tune my Wlan and lan Performance. I have 3x Asus AC66U with the latest DD-WRT Kong Firmware and im very Happy with it. But Merlin is well known for his awesome Asuswrt Firmware too :D

2 Things are Bugging me from switching to Merlin

1. Keep Alive Function from DD-WRT:
Can i add a cronjob or something else for Automatic restart of my Devices at 04:25 AM
What can i do to add this? How does the exact command look alike?
Sorry iam not a big linux pro...thats the only thing i really need...im that kind of guy who needs a ui for everything :(


2. The thing im very interested in is the Hardware Acceleration.
I know that DD-WRT does not support this feature and Merlins Firmware has it integrated. What exaclty does HW Acceleration in the Asus AC66U? Are there some Improvements in terms of Wlan and Lan performance?
