D-Link announced that it is now shipping its latest HomePlug AV2 powerline kit, the DHP-P701AV. The new kit includes two MIMO powerline adapters that use a home’s electrical outlets to send data from point “A” to point “B” through a building’s built-in wiring.

Aside from a maximum link rate of 2000 Mbps, the new DHP-P701AV adapters’ features also include a pass-through electrical plug so customers don’t lose a power outlet when using an adapter, a power saving mode that drops consumption when the adapters are not being used, Plug-and-Play installation, and integrated noise filters to help improve network performance.

Priced at $119.99, the PowerLine AV2 2000 Gigabit Passthrough Starter Kit (DHP-P701AV) is now available through D-Link and other online stores.
