dansguardian virus filtering

i just installed this program through entware but configuring it seems like its going to be a hassle since i have no knowledge in it. having looked at setup guides for redhat etc, i still dont know how to make it work on asuswrt. anybody have success in setting it up?

I've tested dansguardian with all it's heuristic filtering on my old RT-N16 and it's working. I've removed it because it was too heavy for RT-N16, but I think we may give him a chance on RT-N66U.

How stable is the RT n 66 using dansguardian?
What about performance / Speed issues using a 100Mbps Internet connnection?

Any experience using it on a router?

could you show me how to do it? when i try to execute it it says

I have just insstalled dansguardian by bu doing an ipkg install dansguardian and am getting the same error. How do I change the user to admin so it will run?

Also does this packge include everything dansguardian need to run, do I need to install a proxy separately?

I have uncommented the user and group and user section in dansguardian.conf and changed root to nobody. I also created a dansguardian folder in /var/logs and did chown -R nobody:nobody dansguardian

Have a done this right so far?

ps i dont want to do virus filtering, i intend to edit the config files to do some basic webfiltering assuming i canget it to run.

Please please provide steps on how to just get it running for now, it is the n66u that I have.

I've managed to get privoxy and dansguardian running, just need to test dg actually filters.

Tried tinyproxy first but was too slow.
