New Around Here
Hi all,

I'm having troubles with running backup from WinXP SP3 computer to USB HDD attached to RT-N66U. The issue is - when I try to run backup which zipps the data I'm getting error "Delayed Write Failed". The error appears after backing up between 300 - 800 MB. I tried creating the zip archives by 256 MB but that didn't help.

Initially I thought that the problem is with the computer however when this error occurs the RT-N66U router is not usable any longer and needs to be restarted by unplugging the power - the shared folders are not accessible any longer, access to web interface takes ages and very often doesn't respond. After restart the System Log doesn't show anything as it's empty.

- does anybody have any idea what's wrong?
- is there any way to turn on any logging on the router to see any errors coming from Samba / HDD?

Details:
RT-N66U is running 3.0.0.4.270
HDD is WD Elements Desktop - 2TB - formated NTFS
Backup SW: I tried GFI Backup as well as Cobian - both with the same issue

Thanks.
Radek
