Hi there,
I'm using the AC56U as a means of using an ipad to control a digital audio mixing desk (GLD 80). The router is plugged into the mixing desk via a cat5 cable and the ipad is connected to the router via wi-fi. There is no internet connection needed for this useage. So I want to disable those annoying pop up messages when an internet connection is not detected.
The desk requires that the default static IP address = 192.168.1.50 and
Subnet Mask = 255.255.255.0. The router is set for DHCP
so that it automatically allocates a compatible IP address to my iPad.
I have tried disabling WAN but i get a message pop-up saying "You have probably stopped the WAN connection manually" (which i have) and when WAN is enabled it tells me to check my internet cable is pluged in (but i don't need or want it to be as I don' require internet).
Is there a way of disabling these pop up error messages so that the ipad will connect to the router without having to close these pop ups?
Maybe a custom fireware might be the answer.
