I'm interested in your thoughts....
I have a Qnap 409
and i have been very pleased with it for the past 4 years... only with a few niggly issues. ( hdd spin down etc etc)
the box has run very well
but unfortuately it's getting near capacity and since the new firmware came out, it just seems a little slower.. ( esp in the new multimedia manager)
so i've been given the green light (from the missus :lol: ) to get another 4 or 5 drive box. i'm just unsure what to choose.
from the smallnetbuilder website, the ds411+ looks to be the best performer, but i never believe one site straight off as hexus has slated the 411 straight away.. i'm interested to hear what other people think of the pro's /cons of the 411+ v's an equivilant qnap box. (i.e i believe the multimedia station is better on the synology apps compared to the qnaps) or ( the media streamer on the qnap runs things better than the synology equivilant etc etc)
as it stands the 411+ is in the running for me.

but are there things i've missed from the newest qnap boxes that would push me the other way...
