DNS Based Filtering Issue

Minor issue with dns based filtering.

While using global filtering Norton Safe.

The Xbox 360 Wont connect properly to xbox live and some game content.

e.g. GTA5 online

Fix: Do not use Norton Safe as a global filter, set each device individually but don't apply onto xbox.

Don't know if it effects other consoles / games.
Don't know if its an issue on Yandex or Opendns filters

I've emailed norton connect safe to let them know.

That's not really an issue with DNSFilter there, more like Norton's servers simply filtering out connections to some of the sites your XBox needs to access.

Agreed.

Nortons response was to ask me for the URLS.

I don't know the URLS of rockstars servers and can't find them on google.

Short of looking up all the connections to the xbox on the router which still not fix it if they use multiple servers.

Was just a headsup really for other console users.
