my dnsqmasq.log gets flooded with dropbox-related messages and all sorts of other dhcp-messages at the pace of about 100MB/day. how can i stop this?

Have you installed any third party DNS applications on your router, like Diversion?
 
You shouldn't keep dnsmasq logging enabled, it's only intended for debugging purposes, not for fulltime production usage.
