Does OpenVpn require the jffs to be enabled?

New Around Here
I updated to the latest Merlin build recently (378.51) and now I can't get my VPN server to work correctly. Per the instructions I reset to defaults and tried to manually rebuild all the same settings including using the same keys etc (hoping that my clients wouldn't have to be redone as well) but none of the clients have been able to connect. I don't know whether I had the jffs partition enabled previously and now I'm curious if it might be necessary for the server to run.

No, the JFFS partition isn't necessary. However there's no real reason to disable it either, especially on the RT-AC56/AC68/AC87/AC3200 where it's required for some of the new traffic monitoring functionality.
