Hi all
Perhaps a bit of a noob question but just feeling my way so far:
I'm wanting to setup lagg on my 87U to connect to my NAS so have just installed entware, however I'm slightly confused.
Does the USB drive need to remain connected for entware and through it lagg to work?

Thanks in advance!

Yes.

Thank you for the reply RMerlin and for all your work round here!

I'm just trying to get my head round everything and the lagg setup.
From what I've glimmered so far the lagg script needs adding to my start script and that this may be written to the jffs partition?
Would I then be able to remove the usb drive and have the lagg work?

Sorry for all the questions - just trying to learn ;-)
Cheers!

I have no idea how the lagg setup you have in mind is implemented, so I don't know. If it requires an Entware package, then you need the USB stick to host those Entware files.

Oh, sorry my mistake - I think I came to that howto from a separate post suggesting using entware - I got confused...

http://www.snbforums.com/threads/working-link-aggregation-config-rt-ac66u.12735/

in the first post:
"To use Link Aggregation on RT-AC66U you'll need the following.
1.asuswrt-merlin installed
2.JFFS enabled
3.entware installed
-- entware package ifenslave installed"

I guess I just need to find a howto on creating/amending scripts on the jffs partition - any suggestions please?
