Double NAT questions

Intro; I need a little help.

According to https://github.com/RMerl/asuswrt-merlin/wiki/Access-modem-Web-UI-on-WAN-port-(no-script)

This is almost the setup I have, but my modem is in Bridge-Mode.
My router is my AC87 Asus router with ASUSWRT-Merlin.

It’s not important now to mention that I have more PC’s or NAS next to the Notebook below in the picture.

Changement’s I have todo;

Oké the same picture, but instead of “MODEM” you should read PFSence Router, with different subnets,
(and the MODEM itself stays in bridge-mode!)
If I update al the IP address accordingly in this example is there a change that I have internet acces?

The Reason;
I want to free-up the resources in my AC87, mainly OpenVPN,
and enable OpenVPN in PFSense Router.
To reach higher internet speed, even if it is only about 10-25% with OpenVPN.

Later on todo;
If i have setup PFSense Router correctly (Firewall, OpenVPN, etc.) then I change AC87 from Router to AccesPoint mode.
But that take some time, and many tests, and change again IP-adresses accordingly.

Needs;
LAN, Internet etc. will work on my Notebook (PC’s,NAS), and I can reach the AC87 & PFSense Admin-GUI,
follow the IP-adresses as shown.

Any hints, any thoughts?
Thanks,
Henk.
