Downlink vs Downlink Profile test difference

Hello,
I have read the Test Information on both tests, but still don't get the difference between these tests.
Can someone please explain these?

Use the "profile" tests. The other tests are a subset of the "profile" data. They enable comparison and ranking with older open air test methods.
