When deleting torrents no longer needed download master doesn't actually delete the files themselves...they still reside on the disk. I have to manually remove them even though I've selected delete from the WebGUI interface. Does the same thing whether I pause the torrent first or not. Assume it's just a bug but figure I'd throw it out there in case I'm missing something. Thanks

use transmission https://github.com/RMerl/asuswrt-merlin/wiki/Installing-Transmission-through-Entware it's a newer version of downloadmaster.

Seconded for the Entware and Transmission setup. It seems to run more stable with less resources used on the router. Also, and I'm not sure exactly why, but once I did the Entware/Transmission thing the copy speed via wired shot up to 16 MBps from around 10 Mbps.

One thing I did that makes the whole thing a bit more simple is to partition the drive used into an EXT3 for Entware/Transmission and an NTFS data partition for the actual downloads. That way, if needed, I can plug the drive directly into my PC and copy from the NTFS partition without worrying about EXT drivers for Windows.

I like this idea of partitioning. How much partition space does entware and transmission need to run happily on one partition with all of the other torrent data pointed to a second NTFS partition? Thanks

Got it going using a 4 gig ext3 partition and an 500 gig NTFS. Very nice and smooth with transmission 2.82
