New Around Here
Hello. For sometime I have been looking at purchasing a NAS drive to replace my aging SnapServer and have now narrowed it down to a either the Synology DS110j or the DS210j .

Ideally, I would like to buy 2 x DS110j and have one at home and one at the office any sync them every evening..please can someone confirm if this is possible and would this be better option than opting for the DS210J (RAID 1) and backing up to a USB drive?

Thanks.

Backing up to a different physical location will provide increased data protection.

You can do over-the-Internet backup, but you'll need a static IP for the target machine. QNAP doesn't have a dynamic DNS service or client built in.

Thanks Tim for your reply.

Both locations have static IPs so should be fine. I had considered QNAP but will now certainly go for the Synology.
