Some interesting new embedded controller products have been hitting the SMB space, such as Aruba Instant On and Grandstream GWN. Previously, to get an integrated-controller product you had to look mostly at enterprise-class stuff like Aruba Instant or Ruckus Unleashed. Price points are considerably lower, and ease-of-use is probably a fair bit higher.
Seems like a nice option for pro-sumers (some of this crowd) requiring their first VLAN-capable wifi as the IoT and guest needs are growing ever stronger. It's nowhere near as plug-and-play as a whole-house mesh product that simply got a firmware update to support VLANs, but a nice option for those who want to run discrete components, nonetheless.
Has anyone tried either of those yet? What do you think if so?
