New Around Here
Hey all -

I have my RT-AC66U in Access Point (AP) mode. I need it to be this way because my Internet comes with its own wireless router (which I need to use because the connection comes into the house on coax). I don't want to double-NAT primarily because I need everything, regardless of which router it's connected to at any moment, to be on the same subnet.

My question is: is there an easy way to re-enable the (non-routing-specific) services that are disabled by default in AP mode? I'm thinking VPN, AiCloud, etc.. They should work just fine, as long as I forward the correct ports from my "main" router services that do not require the AC66U to be acting as the main router. I've gotten AiCloud "mostly" working just by starting it on the command line, but I'd really rather re-enable the Web UI sections so I can use the services as intended.

I'm not averse to customizing and compiling my own build of Merlin's firmware, and I may try that if there's not an easier way, but I don't want to go to that effort if there's a configuration or NVRAM setting I could tweak that would just make it work. :)

Thanks all... :)
