Hi.
I have a DSL-AC68U connected to my ADSL line on the ground floor of my home, providing wifi and wired connection to a smart TV. However I have no wifi signal upstairs, but I have a PC connected wired to the downstairs router. To extend my network I've gotten an RT-AC87U, which I will connect with the cable currently used by the PC. What is the best way to configure it so that it extends my wifi, and also allows my PC to connect to it for wired networking ?
Should I set it to "Access Point" mode, Media Bridge mode, or just leave it in its default mode and just disable DCHP ? Is it safe to assign the same names for the SSIDs as the downstairs router ?
Thanks for any help.
