I have a USB 4G modem setup as a Failover WAN connection. My main internet failed today and it failed over to the USB modem as expected.
However DNS stopped working. I have the following settings that I have setup to force my family through the CleanBrowsing DNS filtering:
WAN DNS Setting
Connect to DNS Server automatically - No
DNS Server1: Cleanbrowsing custom IP
DNS Server2: Cleanbrowsing Custom IP
Forward local domain queries to upstream DNS - No
DNSFilter - ON
Global Filter Mode: Router
When I changed Global Filter Mode: 1.1.1.1 DNS worked fine on the backup WAN link.
Any ideas what is going on here guys? What is the expected behaviour of DNSFilter set to "Router" when a Backup WAN link is active?
