File download fails

Not sure if this is a problem with the router but maybe it is.
From any PC behind my router I'm not possible to download a .gcd file for my Garmin.
Can anyone with a RT-N66U please try to download a .gcd file from here please?

If I select a .exe file it all works fine, with a .gcd file the download starts and quits with a "Unknown network error".
Tried Chrome or IE no difference.

I have no clue why this doesn't work.
Any help is much appreciated.

No probs here. N66U using Merlin's 3.0.0.4.374.36_beta1-sdk5.

I doubt if it could be the router as I'm sure it cannot differentiate file types.

No problems here either with RT-N66U and same beta1-SDK5 firmware as DrTeeth.

Download was slow, but it did finish successfully.

I can rule out the router for sure now.
I just connected my laptop directly to the fibre modem.
(WAN IP address directly on my laptop.)
Same problem. WTF!

If I connect a GSM dongle to my laptop it works fine.

I'm going to ship my ISP an e-mail to see what they have to say.

Try disabling your security software as it might be blocking the download for some reason.
