Hi.

For the last 6 month, my devices takes 30 sec to start receiving ETH traffic over cable.

It doesn't matter if the device and receive IP over DHCP or if the device have static IP.
I can't even ping the gateway (router) before 30 sec passed.

If I unplug the ETH cable and put it back in it takes 30 sec before any kind of traffic start to flow in my network.

I have mesh network with another router over cable.
I have a Cisco WS-C2960L-16PS-LL thats updated last month with new firmware. ( I see no error in logs or anything)
The AX88U on latest fw.

AX88U ------ Cisco WS-C2960L-16PS-LL ----- Devices.

It feels like the problem started after a firmware update on the Asus router.

Before I start to pull cables and play around with cables dose anyone have any kind of clue or experience with the problem ?

If the LAN ports on a Reset router function normally when connected directly to them with a reliable client, then I would investigate the cabling/ports/plugs and other suspect equipment. It you can temporarily swap in different cabling, thats a quick test.

Does the delay happen with a client directly connected to one of the router LAN ports?

Does the delay happen with a client connected to a port on the Cisco switch? (That is an expensive piece of hardware!)

Have you made any changes to the Cisco switch configuration? If you got the switch used have you done a factory reset to the switch?

If the delay happens with connections to the Cisco switch, have you turned off the PoE on that port? If not maybe you should if the PoE is not being used.

If you really do not need a managed switch you should look for a good un-managed switch. If you do not need all those PoE ports get a smaller un-managed PoE switch. Better to have something simple to use and set up than a Cadillac that gives you problems because you do not know how to manage it!
