Hi guys. I don't get here enough. But I got great help in setting up Virtual Here server on my AC-RT68.
It has been awhile since I needed to use my Prolific FTDI serial dongle. I have it running on the router and the client connects right away.
The server is the free version with one port only privilege.
I have searched here and other places to see how in Linux to change the port settings.
Currently I see in the client that settings are at 9600 baud.
I don't know if changing the setting in the client (Windows) will change them in the server.
I've tried dmesg | grep FTDI. The terminal jumps to a new line with no results. Which I believe is what is needed to at least check the parameter of the converter.
Granted I'm a kindergartner as far as Linux is concerned. Willing to learn.
When using commands to check serial devices I come up with several in the router. Which is surprising because it only has 2 USB ports.
Bottom line. I'd like to try to change baud rate setting of the dongle to see if the device connected to the FTDI will transfer data any faster over Ethernet using vhusbdarm.
Certainly appreciate any advice y'all could give.
