FTP TLS 2nd Gen Firestick

I cannot connect to my Asus router via ftp when tls is enabled using my 2nd gen firestick using OS 8.1.1.9, however my first gen firestick connects with no issue. Amazon states 2nd gen uses TLS v1. 3 so could this be the issue? Is it even worth it to have TLS enabled in my ftp settings on my Ax86u router? Just trying to determine why 1st Gen works but 2md en doesn't using same ftp application.

@dmr24, welcome. I would probably be helpful to include what firmware is running on that RT-AX86U router.

It's a RT-AX86U using merlin firmware 3004.388.8_2. If I turn off TLS in the FTP both work fine. Just can't figure out what's blocking the 2nd gen firestick.

Not if you're only accessing it from within your LAN.

It's remote as well, other people are ftping in through ddns

In which case leave it enabled. Without TLS all data, including usernames and passwords are sent in plain text.
