full hard Factory reset

hey guys

how do i do a Full hard factory reset for the asus 87u.. i wanna install a new firmware on it.. see if it helps me. do i need to check the logs and stuff. see it if it have done it.?

does anyone know a good settings for the PS4. cos on the PS4 when i watch netflix on it it buffering hard.

oh and i notice i have some problems with disconnection on skype. on my ipad 3. im on 2.4 on it

atm i got a 100MB in download/ and on upload i got a 100mb

skould i pick merlin's or the asus one firmware. ?

Recommend RMerlin firmware.

Simply go into the GUI and choose Reset to Factory Defaults and then manually reboot the router (do this by pulling the power plug from the router and wait a minute or two before applying power again).

To flash new firmware successfully, unplug all USB devices, reboot the router and wait a few minutes before you flash the TRX file.

After the new firmware is flashed minimally setup the router (so you can access the advanced settings). At this point is where you reset to factory defaults as described above.

After the router is fully booted up, manually and minimally setup the router to connect to your ISP and to secure it. Do not use a backup file to restore your settings. Do not needlessly change the defaults unless you test fully for a better outcome.
