Dears,
As probably everyone noticed new stock FW is available accompanied with 2 new utilities. It was no changelog so far, but wireless driver still is the same there.
Anyone tried and noticed some new useful features there?
As expected. very few changes in this version. Two undocumented changes that I can see by comparing the code with build 266:
- They seem to have redesigned the way NTP will sync with a server. I haven't looked at the code in depth, but a lot of code in that section has changed.
- Some cleanups and tweaks to TX power management.

Hmmm, they have probably found more ways to screw the power output up again. It's hardly ever worked, and the later limitations on TX power output are crazy.
I also saw that the wireless driver was different. Same version, but different build - might be a fix for the regression that was introduced with 246.
Do you plan to use new driver in your next FW release?
This has been the best FW I have used, I've been a long time lurker and have tried many stock and merlin builds but this firmware has been super stable for me.
One major issue I was having was stability issues with apple products on the 2.4ghz G network, I would have many dropped signals every other day or troubling connecting to the wifi network, my iphone would say "unable to join wifi network". Also with airplay feature would be super lagging and sometimes it just wouldnt connect to airplay at all, now its super stable.
Another issue resolved is the tx power adjuster, now it is really pumping out power through those antennas when I put the tx power to 120 my signal was -39 through about 5 walls, pretty outstanding. tuned it down to 100 because afraid of over heating.
Yes. I've been using it on my AC66 and (to a lesser extent) my N66 test builds these past few days, seems good so far. Will be part of the last 24 beta so more people can confirm it's working properly.

RMerlin, i've been using the 3.0.0.4.321 Beta leaked a couple of weeks ago.
It's working fine for me so far. Should i "downgrade" for this one or "if it's working don't change it" ?
Thank you.

nothing new for 4G modems.. still same shirt 3g generic. is it so hard to implement a feature like that? Merlin why is it so hard? there so many people actually uses E398 LTE Huawei in Europe. asus sweden wrote last year at their facebook page that they would fix this but nothing new....
