Getting VPN to ping both ways between sites?

Hey guys - I have a Synology DS214+ running OpenVPN behind my AC66u (couldn't get the one for my Asus AC66u to work..) and have the openvpn file and CA file. I went onto my remote sites AC68u and set up the VPN Client function for OpenVPN and put my settings/config in. It connects successfully. However, I can only ping from the client site to the server site, not vice versa. Setup is:

Server side: 192.168.50.0/24
Client side: 192.168.1.0/24
OpenVPN range: 10.8.0.0/24

What is needed so that I can ping each side from the other? Ie., ping 192.168.50.x from 192.168.1.x, and ping 192.168.1.x from 192.168.50.x?
