Hello Forum,

I would be grateful to get some suggestions for a wireless router with guest access. It is for a friend who has rented out a room in her house and would like to have separate networks for herself and her tenant. It's not a big house, and the rented room is pretty much directly below the room in which the router is sitting. Gigabit ports are not necessary; a USB port would be good (but also not really necessary). The price should be below $100.

Thanks for your tips! - resucami

The Amped Wireless R10000 is under 100 bucks and has the features you are looking for, exept it doesn't have USB.

I have it and the R20000G, which I have a review for the R20000G here)

The R10000 is just about as good so far as wireless performance and guest networks and base features. I got mine for 89 bucks and the R20000G is 139.

also in addition to the guest networks, it also allows you to change the bandwidth as well so you can limit thier speeds so it doesn't interferre with yours. Also it has QoS which adds even more control. With the guest networks you are isolated as well. The R10 and R20 both have up to 4 guest networks per band (the R10 is single band 2.4Ghz and the R20 is dual band 2.4/5Ghz)

man/most mid- and high-end WiFi routers support a guest SSID.
You can read the product data sheet and/or download the user manuals and do a buying decision.
