I just update my GT-AX11000 Pro to the latest 3.0.0.6.102_34713 today, and system log shows potentially unexpected fatal signal 11. I never saw this error message in 3.0.0.4 firmware, and I am not sure if this is just the new firmware bug?

my Router is in AP mode, so no other features are enabled in the Asus router.

Can this be installed over merlin or have to back up the settings ?

Can this be installed over merlin or have to back up the settings ?
Flash over Merlin, factory reset with initialize and manually configure. Without doing a factory reset you could have issues.

Can this be installed over merlin

Yes... read the Asuswrt-Merlin documentation for reverting:

Also, always review the firmware release notes first for any special instructions.

or have to back up the settings ?

Save a firmware configuration to .cfg file for recovery only... recovery means restoring the same physical router to the same firmware version and its saved configuration.

Did you ever find out the issue and how to fix it as I'm going through the same thing.
