GT-AX6000 randomly rebooting daily

Occasional Visitor
I've got a GT-AX6000 running Merlin 3004.388.8_4 (latest).
Around 5-6pm every day, the router reboots itself. I can't seem to figure out why.

For a while there, it was dropping the WAN connection (fibre) and the only thing that would bring it back up was to reboot it, I have put a script in place now that pings 1.1.1.1 every 1 minute and if it doesn't get a response for 5 minutes it reboots the router. I am not 100% sure if that's what's causing the reboot every day that I mentioned above or if something else is causing it to crash.

I can't find anything obvious in the system log, does anyone have any tips on how I can troubleshoot this to find out what could be causing it to either drop the WAN or crash and reboot?
One idea I thought about was to configure syslog-ng to log to an external syslog server, is this doable?

No idea except a random thought... memory use increases until it hits faulty memory and the system crashes with no time for logging.

Is it on a UPS?

Yes, it's on a UPS. It has clean power, so that can't be the issue.

Code:
admin@router:/tmp/home/root# free
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 1018784 948308 70476 2652 9096 202120
-/+ buffers/cache: 737092 281692
Swap: 2097148 68352 2028796
admin@router:/tmp/home/root#

I'll keep an eye on the memory use throughout the day.
I do highly suspect that it's dropping the WAN for some weird reason, and that's what is causing the router to reboot. Before implementing this script to check for WAN up and reboot if it's not, I remember waiting for the WAN to drop and then looking through the system logs, but there was nothing of use there that I could see.

I've searched this forum and this is an issue with many ASUS routers.
I guess it has something to do with Beacon or Wifi encryption errors, see your log.
I have RT-AXE7800 and it reboots multiple times per week. Randomly.
It makes me so mad, because all my devices lose connection.
Tried disabling/enabling a lot of settings, nothing helps.
I hope for a fix from ASUS.

My GT-AX6000 has been pretty solid over the past 2 years on Merlin. I do have random hang ups but a reboot resolves the issue. I haven't gone to the Unfi eco-system as I like having USB tethering abilities, phone and hotspot.
