There are so many options when configuring the radios on the GT-AXE11000 and I can't figure out what is going on. I have gone through documentation to try and understand all the options, but I haven't found the magic combination that makes this work. Hoping someone here in the forum can solve the puzzle and educate me on what I am doing wrong.

Not sure if it plays a role, but my GT-AXE11000 router has an RT-AC5300 router connected as an AI Mesh node using an Ethernet backhaul. The GT-AXE11000 has merlin firmware 3004.388.8_4 installed. The RT-AC5300 has merlin firmware 3004.386.14_2 installed.

Here is the basic configuration of the SSIDs:

Scanning tools like WiFi Explorer and NetSpot show my WiFi 6 SSID in the 5Ghz band with an a/n/ac mode instead of ax.

The only thing connecting to the WiFi 6 SSID (HARMON_6G) is my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Shouldn't I see the SSID using the 6Ghz band? Why isn't it running in ax mode?

I think I have figured it out. I under estimated just how much the 6G signal cannot get through walls. If I take a laptop and sit it within feet of the router I see the signal in the 6GHz band in ax mode. Until I get some mesh nodes that can broadcast that 6Ghz signal, the 6GHz is useless in my 2,000 square foot house.
