Guest network pro firmware on dsl ax82u

octopulse

New Around Here
Hi

Does anyone know if it's possible to get the asus dsl ax82u to run 3.0.0.6.102_34312 or similar firmware so i can still use it as a dsl modem but with the guest network pro options?

Unfortunately, I have to use dsl as we only have fttn, but I would like to easily separate out a guest network and an iot network. I've tried using the existing guest network feature but it is intermittent at best. I see that there ax routers can run guest network pro but the latest firmware for the dsl ax82u is at 3.0.0.4... not 3.0.0.6....

Thanks

No
Edit to add: [Guest Network Pro] What is Guest Network Pro?
Product GT-AX6000, GT-BE19000, GT-BE96, GT-BE98, GT-BE98 Pro, RT-AX57 Go, RT-AX86U Pro, RT-AX88U Pro, RT-BE86U, RT-BE88U, RT-BE96U
Notes:
1. Adding a Guest Network Pro also creates a new VLAN network.
2. Guest Network Pro is supported on WiFi 7 ROG series models and select WiFi 6 models.
3. This feature requires upgrading your ASUS router to firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_34312 or above.

An IoT network is just another guest network. Your router supports up to six guest networks. Three each on 2.4 and 5 GHz. The first guest WIFI for each band can go to AiMesh nodes.
Most IoT clients use the 2.4 GHz band and it is best to use just WPA2-Personal with them.
The guest networks on your router are for WIFI. VLANs may be possible to an Ethernet port but...
