I am using Merlin 382.1_2 and see that the ability to limit bandwidth for the guest network has been enabled in the GUI, but it requires moving QoS to bandwidth limiter mode. I would rather be able to assign all guest network users to a rule in QoS so I didn't have to abandon my current QoS setup just to limit guest network speed. Is it possible?
The best I can think of now is making all 30+ clients on the LAN fixed IP and setting DHCP to assign a different range of IPs to clients and then using a QoS rule on that IP range. That will work, but it seems really kludgy and requires a ton of manual setup that has to change every time someone gets a new phone/tablet/laptop, or I want to allow a guest full-speed access.
Thanks.
