New Around Here
While cleaning up some manual DHCP assignments todays, I had a quick look at the System Log --> Connections and noted two LAN IP addresses that are a complete mystery and had several ESTABLISHED connections. These addresses had neither received a manual assignment nor appeared in the Network Map. Some of the destination addresses point to entities like Softlayer, Dropbox, Twitter, Akami, Xaxis, and Google.

After successively disconnecting all devices from my LAN and the connections still persisting, I eventually rebooted the router. The "mystery" LAN IPs have not returned. Could this be a "holdover" from a device that was on the network, but not subject to a manual assignment?

If not, any idea how I can find out more?

Thanks in advance for any help or insight you can provide.

You need to track that IP on the networkmap to determine what that device is.

You didn't mention if you pressed the Refresh button before doing anything else. I imagine you didn't and that, had you done so, they would have disappeared.
