Hooking Up My New HD TV To The Internet-I Need A Router

I am purchasing a Smart [internet ready] HD 1080p TV. I plan to stream Netflix.

Right now I have one computer hooked up to my 10Mb cable modem connection. I doubt I will be using the computer while streaming Netflix.

My TV will be less than 4 ft from my cable modem.

I will be using a Cat6 6ft cable to hook up my internet ready TV to whatever router I buy.

I see lots of recommendations for a Dual Band N+ gigabit port router. Then I see posts that say streaming HD from Netflix is fine on a 10/100 standard router. The price difference is quite a bit between these two routers.

Is a standard $30 10/100 router fine or do I really need a Dual Band N+ gigabit port router?

I think any low cost router, such as this Linksys refurb will be fine for your situation, at about $35 from Linksys direct. It will give you wireless for future needs.
It has 100 Mbps Ethernet ports. The downside is when your internet goes above around 90 Mbps in the future.
