Did you look into the standard Traffic Analyzer?I'm looking for a way to determine the total amount of traffic each client generates through the router over X period of time.
IPTraffic disables NAT acceleration.Did you look into the standard Traffic Analyzer?
Under Menu Tools / Other Settings you can use "Enable IPTraffic (per IP monitoring)"...
Not sure if it catches all traffic as the hardware acceleration bypasses the CPU and might not be shown - but still you can give it a try!![]()
So is there an Entware-NG package that would do this ?
I'm just trying to find out which devices are using up the data plan the fastest.

As you mentioned, IPTraffic disables NAT acceleration which makes it an undesirable option for long term usage.
To be more clear, I'm looking for a traffic monitor that can keep a running total per MAC address or hostname that doesn't greatly impact performance.
Perhaps darkstat.
@RMerlin,
How does NAT acceleration bypass parts of iptables ? Is it allowing traffic that might otherwise be blocked with iptables ?
What does NAT acceleration do ?
