Traffic Analyzer data is stored on the non-volatile JFFS partition. It will survive reboots or power failures.
That is the Traffic Monitor not the Traffic Analyzer. If you want to preserve that data you need to save it to somewhere other than RAM.

Traffic monitoring takes about 2kB, IPTraffic takes about 30kB. Because they're so small you could save them to the internal storage (/jffs/), that's the same place that the Traffic Analyzer database is stored. Then you don't need a USB drive. What's the minimum space required for a USB?

Yes, the size hardly changes as the space is pre-allocated. The files only store daily information on the last 62 days and monthly information on the last 25 months.Would a 500mb USB drive suffice for years of monitoring?
