How does AiMesh work with 1 MLO router and one non MLO router?

How does AiMesh work if I have a 1 Wifi 7 router running MLO and my old non-MLO router RT-AC5300?

From experience with AX router and AC AiMesh node: The router 5 GHz bandwidth and available channels may be limited to what the AC AiMesh node can do. DO not even think of MLO on the AC node. Guest WIFI should work OK on the 2.4 GHz or the 5 GHz band but not both at the same time.
You may be better off using the AC5300 as an AP.

I only really have experience with wired backhaul, which does work as MLO is separated from a Legacy/IoT newtwork. If you need wireless backhaul I'm really not sure...

Short answer: yes, it's funny that this question came up today since only last night did I set up an AImesh with the following kit: 2xBQ12 pro and 2xET12 with wireless backhaul. All routers are on the latest firmware. eh link between the two BQ12 shows MLO and the link between the BQ12 and the ET12 shows standard link. I have one SSID that is presented by all the devices in the mesh. It seems to be working smoothly so far.
