How to access router via WAN when you have OpenVPN client running?

Hey guys,

I just bought a VPN (Private Internet Access) and got it working perfectly using the OpenVPN client on Merlin's firmware. Now, my router is permanently running the VPN.

The problem I am having is that I cannot access my server via the outside (WAN) using my dynamic DNS now that OpenVPN is changing my IP. I can't even FTP into it. Is there a way around this problem? Disabling the OpenVPN client solves the problem, but I want to leave it running.
