How to compile entware package?

libcurl 7.34 + Transmission = 100% CPU? How to compile newer or older libcurl?

Hi, I currently using RT-N66U with lastest Asus-Merlin firmware (374.40)

I have 100% CPU utilization problem (100% utilization from Top command and CPU load 1.xx - 3.xx )when download torrents using both transmission and rtorrent. After this bug appear , only 'kill' can stop transmission process.

After some research, I concluded that libcurl 7.34 is a source of problem then installed a most recent version prior to 7.34 (7.29 from wl500g repo mirror). The problem has instantly gone after that.

But I would like to compile a lastest libcurl (7.36) to see if this bug is still appear

At last, I manage to compile it by compare makefile of libcurl 7.34 from wl-500g repo and 7.36 from OpenWRT.

Here is an entware package : libcurl_7.36.0-1_entware

Please refer OpenWRT Buildroot documentation. Entware is based on OpenWRT trunk.

I manage to compile libcurl 7.36. Download Entware Package

I have test it and it doesn't have CPU hog problem as 7.34 did.

Looking at https://code.google.com/p/wl500g-repo/source/browse/trunk/INSTALL , it looks like that the instructions just build the code at http://wl500g-repo.googlecode.com/svn/trunk .

How is the code at https://github.com/Entware/entware supposed to get integrated?
